FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
There are a million things to consider and ask when choosing your wedding day vendors. Here are some of my most frequently asked questions.
Q: How many years have your been photographing weddings and what equipment do you use?
A: I have been photographing weddings for 5 years. My formal education and training in photography began in 1998. I shoot with all Nikon professional cameras and lenses. I always have my full gear as well as back-up equipment with me when photographing a wedding. I have two camera bodies, 4 lenses, 6 flashes, 4 light stands, a video light, tripod, reflectors, a dozen memory cards and batteries galore.
Q: Do you travel for weddings and if so what do you charge?
A: Yes! I am available for travel anywhere in the United States and for all international destination weddings. If you are planning your wedding more than an hour away I charge the federal mileage rate base on my zip code to your wedding location. If your wedding is more than 2 hours away or international please contact me for details.
Q: How many images will I receive from my wedding day?
A: The amount of images given varies based on several different factors; how many people are in the wedding party, how large the families are/or how many variations of pictures you want, how many events happen, how long your ceremony is, etc. Typically for an 8-10 hour wedding day you can expect between 500-700 pictures.
Q: How long do I have to wait to see my images?
A: I will have your images edited and up for viewing online within 5-6 weeks after the wedding date. I do try and provide a few "sneak peeks" on Facebook a couple weeks after the wedding. I know waiting is hard, but I want to make sure I give your images all my love and attention and to not rush through them.
Q: Will you hold my date for me?
A: My dates are first come first serve. If you are the first to inquire about a date and I get another inquiry for the same date I will give you the courtesy of a phone call or email letting you know and to give you first dibs on the date.
Q: Everything sounds great! What do you need from me to fully book my date with you?
A: If we are a great fit I will send you a copy of the client wedding contract for you to sign and send back. I also require a non-refundable retainer in the amount of 50% of your chosen wedding collection. Once I have received both of those your date has been reserved just for you!
