Joe & Amy came a long way, from California, for their beautiful wedding. The weather couldn't have been any better and the wedding couldn't have been any more perfect. The wedding day began at Embassy Suites on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Amy was glowing with excitement all morning. It was so cute to see. Joe was laid back and all ready for the day. Not a touch of worry. He knew he was marrying the woman of his dreams. So the relaxed guys played around while the girls giggled and cried.

The ceremony at the Redemptorist Church was amazing as always. Every time I shoot there I fall in love with the space even more. It's so grand and what every girl dreams of on their wedding day. After the ceremony we headed out for the fun pictures with the wedding party and bride and groom at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. It's always a favorite time for me. Amy's gorgeous red hair and beautiful eyes were a dream. I think her adorable, sweet and funny personality really shines through in the pictures. She's just one of those girls you want to be around. Joe is a no nonsense cool guy ready to take on the world. I mean he's a skydiving instructor! How cool is that!! Studly for sure. The pictures of the day show how charming this day was. My style of shooting and editing is mostly color photographs, but this wedding and the pictures in it really spoke to me in black & white. I feel it really shows the mood and emotion there was. Stunning.

After the pictures the good times continued at the Uptown Theater. This was the first time I've shot in this space the the lighting was amazing with those big, beautiful windows. Oh and let me tell you about the incredible first dance they had! They had been practicing for months and it was amazingly beautiful. I was torn between watching and awing or snapping every picture I could. Obviously I did both and watched intensely through my viewfinder!!! No one was a bit shy dancing at this wedding. The dance floor was immediately full and getting down! It was an absolutely blast of a day from start to finish.

Congratulations Amy and Joe. Thank you for choosing me and trusting me with your special day. I will never forget you and your kindness. I wish you all the love and happiness out in your new state you call home, Colorado!

xoxo,
B

Shout out to my beloved second shooter Angela. I'd be lost without her!
