Garner and Erin were married on a gorgeous November day. Right off the bat there was lots of laughing, smiling and fun. The boys were being typical boys; drinking beer and giving each other a hard time. The girls were so chill. I walked into the hotel room and everyone was so relaxed and ready to celebrate the big day. Their wedding was at the gorgeous Terrace on Grand. It is a stunning venue with views of the city skyline. There was a bit of construction close by so we had an obscure view of the city, but it was beautiful none-the-less. Since Terrace on Grand is right in the heart of the city we were able to travel around for pictures to a couple different spots. First up the Kauffman Performing Arts Center (personal favorite). The colors of the trees were so vibrant there. Next up was the awesome (no gone) #KC Loves mural! Such a fun and unique place for some wedding photos! I was so sad when they painted over it. Liberty Memorial. Garner and Erin were the main focus at this location. It fit them so well. He is so dapper and she is so classic and beautiful. It made for some beautiful images of them together. After the ceremony the reception kicked off and it did not stop all night. DJ Kate with Fernando Productions rocked the DJ booth like no other. She had everyone out on the dance floor all night. I saw some of the best (and most hilarious) dance moves of the year. All the guests were die hard dancers, and I loved it!
Ahhh beautiful spring days of May how I miss thee. Hopefully today's blog will give you all the warm fuzzies inside. I was thrilled to be able to meet and photograph Heather and Steven last May. She is a Kansas City girl while he is from California. They live in Cali but she really wanted engagement pictures in her home town. To this day I am in love with these images. Not just in a little bit of love but head-over-heels love with the images and with Heather and Steven. It began and an engagement only session but I was over the moon when they asked me to fly out to California to photograph their wedding. I've never been to California so this is so exciting for me!

DAN & MADISON MARRIED! | ST. GABRIELS | BOULEVARD BREWERY | KANSAS CITY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
October was full of beauty and color this year and I loved every day. I knew that Madison & Dan's wedding was going to be at the peak of the fall color and we were all so excited about it. The weather was awesome and the colors popped. We had so much fun during the pictures at Liberty Memorial. We could have kept shooting all day. I went a bit crazy shooting but I couldn't help myself. Madison & Dan were stunning and they work that camera like no bodies business! We ended the evening at one of my favorite places, Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City. The lights and the skyline and the rockin' DJ kept this crowd dancing all night long. It was an amazing day and one that will go down in the books. I love my job! Thank you Madison & Dan from the bottom of my heart. You never cease to make me smile and laugh and I love that about you!
CODY & SARA MARRIED! | RESTORATION 1894 | LIBERTY, MO | KANSAS CITY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
In downtown historic Liberty, MO you will find quaint homes and beautiful buildings. Restoration 1894 is a stunning wedding venue. It was an amazing space to capture the beauty of Sara & Cody's wedding reception. I've know Sara since....well....her whole life. Seriously, I remember her being born. Her parents are long time friends of my parents and our brothers are great friends. When they asked me to photograph their wedding it was being given the biggest hug and compliment in the world. I love the Sommer family. Love them. I am blessed to have been apart of Sara & Cody's engagement and wedding. Sara was so stunning. I've never seen her look more beautiful. These two love each other like no other. They truly get one another. Thank you, Thank you for choosing me Sara & Cody. May you love and life be forever blessed.
P.S. I'm obsessed with the amazing florals done by Poppy & Clover. I die.

DANIEL & KAYLA MARRIED! | HERITAGE RANCH | SEDALIA, MO | KANSAS CITY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
My first time shooting at Heritage Ranch in Sedalia, MO did not disappoint! It is a absolutely gorgeous venue. Twinkle lights galore and if you know me I'm obsessed with twinkle lights! Kayla was an absolute vision. Her dress is one of my top two favorite dresses of all time. I drool over this dress. She has the perfect figure for this dress. The way it draped on her was like it was made just for her. Ok, moving on from my stalker obsession over the dress. Daniel was all smiles as he got ready to watch his bride stroll down the aisle. He has such a great smile. The ceremony was outside and because of this amazing weather we are having it was perfection. Blue skies, lush green backdrop with warmth and a subtle breeze = the most perfect wedding day ever. Thank you so, so much Kayla & Daniel. It was a dream day and I was so honored to be apart of it.
JACOB & STACEY MARRIED! | THE RHAPSODY | KAUFFMAN PERFORMING ARTS | KANSAS CITY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Throw back Thursday to a wedding from April with the incredible Stacey & Jacob. Stacey was drop dead gorgeous and Jacob was the super handsome fire fighter. The day was perfect with beautiful blue skies and warm temperatures. Spring had definitely sprung. We began the day at The Rhapsody in Independence, MO and then we had the pleasure of being able to shoot inside the Kauffman Performing Arts building. This is ultra exclusive and a special thing. It usually costs and arm and a leg to even thing of shooting inside the building but Stacey's sister just so happens to work there. It's who you know, ya know?! The images from inside are stunning and this was by far one of my favorite weddings of this year. Thank you Stacey & Jacob for including me in this special time in your life. I'm blessed.
JORDAN & COREY'S KANSAS CITY ENGAGEMENT | NELSON ATKINS MUSEUM OF ART
It was windy on this October day, and I mean like super windy. I was hoping we could get some great images despite the windy. I had my fingers crossed. After 10 minutes into the session I noticed that there was hardly any wind around the Nelson Atkins! It made for a perfect night with dreamy light and just enough breeze to blow Jordan's hair like a supermodel. I'm so happy for these two and their upcoming life together.
DAN & MADISON'S SHAWNEE MISSION PARK ENGAGEMENT
These two are getting married this weekend! I can't believe it is already here! We had a quick little 2nd engagement session at Shawnee Mission Park to show off their love during the fall. Our first one was done in the summer. I simply can not wait to see these two light up and be so happy on their wedding day. I love love.
LAUREN & ZAC MARRIED! | ENRIGHT GARDENS | EDGERTON, KANSAS | KANSAS CITY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
It was one hot September day but it made for the most beautiful wedding day for Lauren & Zac. The trees were beautiful and green and the flowers were still blooming. Who would have though it would be high 80's in late September! These two are so sweet together. They are soft and gentle and their little glances and smiles to one another during the day were adorable. I'm so blessed with a job that I love and that lets me see true love every weekend. It renews my heart and my own love for my incredible husband. I love love. Thank you Lauren & Zac! I had the best time and I wish you all the love in the world!
Kendra & Brenden's downtown Kansas City Engagement | Liberty Memorial | #KCLOVES
We had the most incredible weather and fantastic locations last week for the soon to be Mr & Mrs Camplin. Their outfits were cute and classic. They looked like they came straight out of a catalog! We traveled all around the city getting every type of scenery we could. We started off in a cute little park where the sun peaks so perfectly through the trees and then on to one of Kansas City's fun murals #KCLoves. KC sure does have a lot of love. We ended the session at sunset at the always beautiful Liberty Memorial where the views of the city are breathtaking. Their wedding is going to be great! I can't wait!
Hale & Sarah Married! | Town Square | Paola, Kansas | Kansas City Wedding Photographer
It's never happened before but I was at the same venue two weddings in a row! And even more strange is that it was in Paola, Kansas! There could be worse things in life because I LOVE THIS VENUE! It's truly perfect right down to my very favorite twinkly lights! Hale and Sarah are the cutest little couple. They beam and light up a room when they are together. Just two crazy kids in love. Here is the story, in pictures, of their special wedding day. Thank you Sarah & Hale so, so much! You'll never know my gratitude and how happy I am to call you friends.
Kelsey & Brad Married | Town Square | Paola, Kansas | Kansas City Wedding Photographer
Kelsey & Brad are one of my golden couples. Their smiles are contagious and everyone can feel the love between them. They are a fairytale couple. Their wedding in August at Town Square in Paola, Kansas was perfect. The venue is incredible and was decorated so lovely.
Thank you Kelsey & Brad for everything and for choosing me to be apart of your wedding. It was incredible!

It's surprising what you can do with 45 mins and a happy baby! The rain was moving in quick so we knew we were on borrowed time. Penelope is turning one and she came in ready to knock our socks off. Happiest little baby around and one that I've ever known to love the camera so much. She was absolutely perfect and I didn't have to work for a thing. Those smiles came naturally!
Living out of town Mike & Mel didn't get to see me much. This was my first time meeting Mike!!! What a great guy and Penelope is definitely daddy's little girl. Their wedding is tomorrow so we did this little session in honor of Penelope's upcoming birthday and a mini-engagement session for them. I love every picture from this session. Truly, truly love them.
See you tomorrow Mike & Mel!!
My first time at Lake Doniphan in Excelsiors Springs was fantastic! What a beautiful set up and scenery there. The lake ceremony, the sunset and all the lush greenery, wow. Laura and David shined on their wedding day in September along with their best friends and family. The pictures really tell the story of their incredible day.
Stop the presses! The fun and adorableness of this session is out of control. I LOVE, LOVE Sarah & Hale. They are so relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera which always makes for a magical session from start to finish. October is my favorite time of year to shoot because of it's perfect temps and fall colors. Our session was also during the World Series game 2 between the Royals and Mets. It was Blue October and don't think for a second that we didn't stop every now and then to check the score! I simply can not wait for their wedding this summer.
It was a GORGEOUS September evening and the sunset was perfection. I love shooting in the quaint little park in Kansas City. We definitely wanted some night shots so we traveled to a high spot with a sweet view of the city lights. What a way to end a session!!
October is one the busiest engagement months for me. The weather is perfection and always gives us the most gorgeous light. Sam & Anna were magic behind the camera. It's like they do it all the time, no bigs. They were relaxed and so happy the entire time. They truly made my job a breeze. I'm looking forward to their May wedding in downtown Kansas City.
Sophistication and class is what these two are all about. Their classic outfits, casual and dressy, along with the edgy urban look of the West Bottoms in Kansas City paired perfectly. I love all the colors and vibrancy that is down there, everything just pops. I'm excited to see what they have in store for their June wedding at the Stonehaus Winery in Lee's Summit.
I love these two and their country engagement session this November. We were so happy that we rescheduled from a rainy and windy to get this gorgeous sunny day. Look at Keasha's boots! I want them so badly!!! It makes me so happy when clients bring great props and unique wardrobes that make their pictures so special. This girl knows what she's doing. I can't wait for their country wedding this summer!
I was able to first meet Kelsey when she was a bridesmaid in the Bolton wedding (blog post on that to come). She was fun, giggly, and beautiful. I saw her and Brad together at the reception and they were adorable. Seriously! I don't know how I get so lucky to have such amazingly gorgeous clients but I hit the jackpot every time! We had our session during the time of the World Series and thus we definitely had to capture them in the KC gear in the Crossroads district in downtown Kansas City. It was a chilly day but you couldn't tell it from their smiles and how natural they are behind the camera. I'm super excited for their wedding this summer!!
